We need some type of help with our credit card debt.

Our credit card debt has gotten out of hand and we need some help. When my father passed away I got a large sum of money but it is not enough to pay off the credit card debt but can help. I really need to eliminate all of the debt. I have read that most credit card companies will negotiate debt in order to help you so you do not file bankruptcy. If I can get the 3 credit card companies to negotiate the debt that would really help. I may even be able to get it all paid off right away if they do negotiate the debt.
